Masks

A „support” group is a group of internal „figures” who tell you what you should or shouldn’t do. It can be a critic, a defender, a child. Everyone has such a group within themselves, everyone is influenced differently by the group, sometimes more strongly, sometimes almost imperceptibly, sometimes it limits us in many decisions and activities, and sometimes it actually protects and warns us. The strength of the group’s activity depends on the baggage with which we entered adulthood. If our maturity and adulthood are healthy, it is us who is at the helm and, despite the voices of the group, we direct and oversee the whole thing. However, if as adults we are damaged internally, the group’s actions are stronger and very often it is the critic, defender or child who decides for us. We are then like actors with an appropriate mask behind which we hide, and the activity is taken over by an internal „support” group.
